56th GRAMMYs: Predictions for Record of the Year

JT - Press Photo 2 (Credit Tom Munro RCA R.JPG This year’s race for Record of the Year seems to be leaning towards more urban-ish tunes rather than the pop-rock/live instrumentation it’s actually packed with.

The frontrunner here is without a doubt, Justin Timberlake with “Mirrors” universally acclaimed and compared as the second part of “Cry Me A River” (2004), considered as one of his best songs. He’s also a long-time NARAs favourite and this is definitely his year with the success of his long awaited comeback record The 20/20 Experience. The two other likely contenders are this year’s top-selling singles “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” alongside producer Pharrel and rapper T.I.
